Here is an update of the story of the virtual rough planning for gem faceting, using photogrammetry. To read my first post about it click here.
After faceting that fabulous piece of Bulgarian green sphalerite, the resulting stone turned out to be a spectacular green sphalerite of 35.94 cts! That corresponds to 51.3% yield, fantastic result! It could have been even a couple of carats more, but I had to cut off a nasty inclusion on the crown to keep it eye-clean.
